This time, I said I will list down the things that I usually see…the web design that must not be repeated again and again on the web. Here are some of them:

 

·         Web design that is completely like a book. There are various websites which are like a book, forgetting that this is internet where visitors want an easy to browse page. Use bullets, lists and subheaders to make it look easy to read and helpful.

·         Visitors must be able to know what your website is all about in seconds. If any visitor finds it hard to go through your website, he would probably go in other websites.

·         Do not use fancy fonts. These fonts seem to be hard to read. Use some intelligent design of fonts which are easy to read and convey a message.

·         Do not use small fonts. Small fonts will make the reader annoyed and will just leave your website.

·         Do not subscribe the visitor to anything without his permission. It is one of the biggest mistakes to automatically subscribing the visitor to newsletter without his consent.

·         Registration to a website is not necessary unless it is needed by the visitor. Do not let anyone register to give all his details by registering to your site.

·         Do not exaggerate the use of flash. Use only flash when needed.

·         Do not place music on your website and if it needed, let the visitors play it.

·         Do not design your website with unnecessary badges. Aside from it looks very unprofessional, it is not a place to put everything.
